About

MISSION

We are a visual arts center committed to bringing the community meaningful experiences in the arts through classes, exhibitions and outreach.

The BAC offers programs in the visual arts for students ages 18 months-adult. Our classes are offered each season - Fall, Winter and Spring include a series of 7-9 classes and Summer includes week long programs for children and teens and a series of 8-9 classes for adults. We also offer a shortened December session and two vacation week programs in conjunction with Brookline Public Schools' schedule. Each student is encouraged to experiment with materials, explore and imagine a variety of solutions, learn from others, observe, reflect and make connections. While engaging in classes from ceramics to jewelry and sensory play to more advanced drawing and design classes, students are encouraged to relate to the world in new ways.

Our programs also include workshops, art and birthday parties, communtity outreach and events, public art and rotating exhibitions in our gallery

With a faculty of professional working artists, the BAC is committed to providing high quality experiences in the arts for its students and community. We work to provide our students and visitors, young and old, with opportunities to explore, problem-solve, create and express themselves artistically. Whether you are 2 or 92, there is an art experience and community here for you.
