The Gadsby Awards are named after Patricia Rasmussen Gadsby, who served as Brookline Arts Center Community Advisor from 1980 to 1990. She was an enthusiastic, loyal and creative friend to the Center throughout her life. The Gadsby Awards were established to honor Tricia’s spirit, her love of the arts and her ability to inspire those around her. With the Gadsby Awards, the Brookline Arts Center hopes to encourage Brookline students to study and create art, and to think creatively.
The awards ceremony starts at 6:30 pm and ends at 8 pm. It is free and open to the public. Admission to the gallery, to view the work of the Gadsby Award winners and Honorable Mentions, is free. Regular gallery hours are Mondays through Fridays, 9 am to 4:30 pm.
