Our ArtVentures program for children blends fun with learning through a balance of structured projects, creative expression and play. We promote artistic exploration while developing technique and critical-thinking skills. Each theme is explored through a variety of mediums and imaginative projects. Students have three breaks during the day to explore our beautiful park, play on the connecting playground or participate in a game with their peers.  *5 year olds must be enrolled in kindergarten.

Art of Amazonia: Come explore the Amazon and all of its treasures in this green-themed week! We will learn about the ecosystem of the world’s largest rainforest, paint and sculpt its wildlife, and build our own miniature tropical habitats. We’ll discuss biodiversity, preservation, and draw inspiration from activist-based Brazilian street art.

DRAWING & ILLUSTRATION INTENSIVE |  Ages 13-17

Take a day to explore techniques in drawing and illustration such as drafting, composition, character design and rendering of form and color. Dive into the artist toolkit and utilize shading, cross-hatching and perspective to tell your own visual stories and bring a masterpiece from the imagination to the page!

This hands on pottery program will introduce students to wheelthrowing and handbuilding fundamentals. Explore your creativity while learning techniques for creating your own mugs, bowls and other unique pieces!

JEWELRY AND METALS INTENSIVE |  Ages 12-17

Students will gain hands-on knowledge of jewelry making and metalsmithing techniques including soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper, nickel and brass.
