Different textures created using materials like pom poms or tissue paper or string really make an image pop! Have you ever tried using glue and salt to add a fun effect? If you haven’t, give it a whirl!

What You’ll Need:
Liquid glue
Paper (cardstock is ideal)
Watercolors or food coloring (optional)
Paintbrush (optional)

Step 1:
Drawing something!

Step 2:
Cover lines from your drawing in glue. Do not let the glue dry or spread it thin.

Step 3:
Over the sink, cover with salt. Shake the paper so that the salt sticks to all exposed glue.

Step 4:
Let dry.

Step 5 (optional):
Get out your watercolors and paint the raised areas where the salt is. The more water in your brush, the more the color will spread across the salt. If you do not have watercolors, you can use watered-down food coloring.
