We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well during this difficult time. We are truly grateful for your support over the last few months, including at our first ever virtual ART Off the Wall held on May 16. One thing we have learned throughout this crisis is that whether we gather in-person or online, the spirit of our community remains strong, adaptable, limitlessly creative and incredibly generous. From virtual classes, events and exhibitions to free art activities and artist highlights on social media, we are proud of the ways we continue to connect with you as we plan for what the “new normal” will look like. Thank you for your support.

The BAC will remain closed for in-person programs through the Summer Session. All Summer Session classes for children, teens and adults will be held virtually. We will be in touch with students soon with more details about our virtual options.

This was a difficult decision, but the health and safety of our employees, students and the larger community we serve is and has always been our priority. As we continue to assess when it will be safe and feasible for us to return to our beloved building, we are committed to providing creative programs for our community virtually. Our spring virtual classes have been very successful. Online enrollment continues to grow, and we are thrilled to offer fun, engaging and ever-creative virtual summer programs, which are open for registration.

That said, we know that virtual programs will not work for everyone. The loss of income from our Summer Session means that our fundraising needs will exponentially grow in order to keep the BAC afloat. We hope that if you decide to withdraw from a class, you will consider taking a credit for a future class (credits do not expire) or donating your tuition. All donations are 100% tax deductible. If you are in a position to help financially, please consider making a gift to our COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

As we continue to focus on the larger picture of what our world and community are going through, we remain committed to our mission by bringing you meaningful experiences in the arts in numerous ways. Our Art at Home portal is updated each week with free content for all age groups and we will continue to offer Customized Group Classes and Private Lessons throughout the summer, as well as virtual events and exhibitions.

We continue to hold each of you in our hearts and think of you throughout this crisis. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate these challenging times. Please be well and take care. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
