Artist Statement:

Joe Zina has returned to ceramics after a variety of lives in other artistic expressions. Way back in his college days he minored in Ceramics at Penn State University.  A career as an art educator was interrupted with professional dance with The Nikolais Dance Theatre.  Later he co-founded Rugg Road Handmade Papers and Prints and then became the Executive Director of The Coolidge Corner Theatre.  After a productive and exciting time in Brookline he revisited dance and traveled the world of social Argenitine Tango dancing.  He is happy to have settled for the past year into the Feet of Clay studio and has been creating sculptured animals.
