Metal has been in my life since before I was born. I began working with metal in 1971 when I attended MassArt College of Art and Design. There I found silver and the flame enticing and exhilarating. Sterling silver is both hard and soft. This characteristic is delightful and allows me to create surface treatments that are unique.
My handcrafted jewelry is whimsical and wearable. An earring does not weigh down a lobe. I am passionate about surface decoration and texture. Much of my inspiration for texture comes from nature: leaves, blossoms, and fabrics.
The materials I use: American sourced sustainable silver, gold-filled, 24K keumboo, shakudo, copper/brass and semi-precious stones (sustainable), vintage/antique Czech & Italian glass, & American Glass Artisan lampwork glass.
