SCULPTURAL POTTERY (Virtual)
Winter dates coming soon
Teachers: Gianna Colson
Class Fee: $250
In this hands-on program, students will get the opportunity to explore the world of clay, without needing a kiln or other equipment. They will learn fundamental handbuilding techniques, such as pinching and coil building, to create imaginative sculptural works of art. Through this virtual format, students will be guided through using air dry clay, which is easy to work with and clean up, and will ensure that all projects can be fully completed at home. At the end of each week, students will paint their pieces, and they will be ready to display! *Projects will not be food safe.
In this virtual format, students will receive a number of lessons to work on at home, along with a recommended materials list. Each day will begin with a lesson on techniques along with guided demonstrations and interactive lessons. Students will also engage with teacher and their classmates in real-time group activities and conclude the week with a group critique or Show and Tell!
Video Sessions: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 3:30-5:00pm.
NOTE: Links to lessons and video sessions will be shared via email. Zoom videos will be recorded and made available for students who are unable to attend the scheduled time.
