Teaching Assistant Interns gain experience in a variety areas. From child development to designing curriculum, skill-building focuses on providing a creative, inclusive and nurturing environment for students and families.

Internships are unpaid with flexible hours. Interns are eligible to attend BAC classes at no cost if space allows.


  • Assist teacher with classroom set-up and clean-up.
  • Welcome children and families.
  • Help children become oriented to classroom and activities.
  • Facilitate activities and foster children’s engagement.


  • Priority will be given to individuals currently enrolled in college.
  • Prior experience working with children in a classroom/child care environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional and patient.
  • Knowledge of art materials and general care of studio space.
  • A willingness and ability to learn new skills.
  • Love and appreciation of art!
