ARTVENTURES: NEIGHORHOOD HEROES!  |  Ages 5-7

Our ArtVentures program for children blends fun with learning through a balance of structured projects, creative expression and play. We promote artistic exploration while developing technique and critical-thinking skills. Each theme is explored through a variety of mediums and imaginative projects. Students have three breaks during the day to explore our beautiful park, play on the connecting playground or participate in a game with their peers.  *5 year olds must be enrolled in kindergarten.

Neighborhood Heroes!: This will be a day-long program full of exciting projects focused on finding the hero in each of us! We’ll take a day to reflect on the things that make us all unique and turn our own stories into art while getting to know each other. Projects will include comic book panelling and superhero self-portraits.

ART AND ACTIVISM INTENSIVE |  Ages 8-12

In this one-day workshop intensive students will learn about activism through art and how issues and causes are represented in the art world. We will look at a variety of activist artists and, using tools such as humor, juxtaposition, text and image and strong visuals, students will create their own activist piece based on a cause important to them.

SCULPTURAL CLAY INTENSIVE |  Ages 10-12

Take a day in our studio to explore the wonderful world of clay and all of its sculptural possibilities. Explore techniques such as coil building, double pinch pot making and sculpting slab mugs in addition to other fun options!

JEWELRY AND METALS INTENSIVE |  Ages 12-17
9:00am-5:30pm | Teacher: Ashley Vick 
Class Fee: $95, Materials: $10

Students will gain hands-on knowledge of jewelry making and metalsmithing techniques including soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper, nickel and brass.
