  • Starting April 3rd, 2023, masks are no longer required to be worn within BAC but are encouraged. Masks will be made accessible to any student who wishes to use them at the front door entrance and in every classroom.

    Starting April 3rd, 2023, the BAC will no longer require COVID-19 Vaccination documentation for any student.

  • Class registration is managed on ACTIVE. Take a look at the classes we are offering here.

  • Part of our registration process, you are required to read over our General Policies and agree to them. Included in registration will also include photo permissions, travel permissions (for ages 12-17), Art Party/Space Rental Agreements (for rental registrations), Food & Beverage Waiver (for rental registrations).

  • You can submit a tuition assistance request here>>.

  • Materials: Materials are provided and paid for by the particiapnt during registration. The only class that does not provide materials and requires the participant to provide their own is our Figure Drawing Studios.

    Clothing: Students should come wearing appropriate clothing that they do not mind getting dirty. Jewelry & Ceramic Students must wear close-toed shoes, and any long hair must be pulled back. For ages 5-11, Parents/Guardians should send their children with an extra set of clothes (in a small box or bag) in case of emergency.

    Lunch/Snacks: If attending an afterschool program (2 hours) please provide your child with a snack and a water bottle. If attending a full-day program (5-7 hours) please provide your child with lunch, snack and water bottle. Snack breaks will be issued outside in our park if the weather permits. No nuts, please! The Brookline Arts Center is an allergy-aware environment. We ask that students ages 12+ eat their snacks and meals before entering the building or outside during breaks if the weather permits.

    Personal Belongings: Please advise from bringing personal toys and stuffed animals into the classroom. We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings while attending BAC classes.

    If you are looking for a receipt from a class, they can be found on your ACTIVE account.

  • There is metered parking along St Mary’s St and Monmouth St. There is also two-hour parking in the surrounding area.

    The BAC is accessible by T, on the Green Line Branch from the St Mary’s Stop on the Cleveland Circle Line and the Fenway Stop on the Riverside Line.

  • Due to kiln capacity limits, all Ceramic work will take between 3-4 weeks after the session ends for firing. The BAC will email you when your work is ready for pickup.

  • Open Studios is a time for you to work with clay or jewelry and hone your abilities outside the structure of a class. At every open studio, there will be a studio technician present who is there to monitor. Keep in mind that open studio does not include instruction, however, monitors will answer any questions to help you orientate yourself to the studio, location of tools/materials, glazes, and safety. Monitors can also be resources to discuss and critique work for those who are interested.

    Important Things to Note

    β€’ You must have already taken a BAC ceramics class to qualify.

    β€’ Ceramic Open Studios will run indefinitely, every Wednesday unless otherwise noted. Jewelry Open Studios will run every Session for 7-10 weeks.

    β€’ Passes are valid for 1 year from purchase date.
