BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGH ART

Your gift to the Brookline Art Center makes a meaningful impact on our community. Your support plays a vital role in building a stronger, more vibrant, and more united community through art by making creative experiences accessible for all.
Because of the generosity of our community, the BAC offers hundreds of classes and camps each year, more than eight contemporary art exhibitions in our galleries, our ArtReach programs that provide educational opportunities for underserved communities, the Brookline Open Studios and Marketplace, and much more!
We are honored to steward programs like these for more than 1,000 students each year, to nurture deep relationships with artists, and to multiply access for people of all ages, experiences, and identities. Your gift supports our mission to engage a community of learners in exploring the arts and building Brookline’s creative future.
While BAC relies on support from individuals, foundations, and corporations, our two biggest sources of revenue are class registrations and donations by generous donors like you. You can be a part of the culture of giving that keeps our organization going. We make every penny count, and we are grateful for every dollar. Thank you for your support, of every kind.
To help keep our programming at its best, we invite you to help to keep creativity alive through monthly giving, which provides a solid, dependable source of revenue that allows us to be strategic and planful, while also being nimble and responsive. Thank you for your consideration!

Contributions to the Brookline Arts Center are 100% tax deductible.

Two ways to honor Mika Hornyak

A former Director of the Corporate Art Program at the Decordova Museum, Mika had her own successful corporate arts consulting business and was the Manager of Product Development for Decorative arts and Sculpture at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Mika served as partner and owner of Flatfile, working to grow the Boston area's contemporary art market by giving greater exposure to local and locally trained artists, educating potential buyers, and by creating alternative venues and experiences for buying art.

Besides her extraordinary arts and business experience, she also brought humor, energy, and commitment to the BAC. Mika will be greatly missed by the Brookline Arts Center, and the Brookline Community. Please join us in celebrating Mika’s life and honoring her commitment to the arts by donating today.

MIKA HORNYAK- SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Scholarship Fund was established in 2021 by friends and family of Mika Hornyak. A member of the BAC Board for 10 years, Mika was a vital member of our community. This scholarship fund in her name will provide scholarships for children who would not otherwise be able to attend classes at BAC, giving them the opportunity to explore, play, and grow with our community.
Your gift gives BAC the ability to provide opportunities to attend classes for those who are in need of financial assistance. The Center has awarded thousands of dollars to students ages 2-18, providing children with the tools and opportunities they need for self-expression, and exploration.

Contributions to the Brookline Arts Center are 100% tax deductible.

MIKA HORNYAK- ARTIST SUPPORT FUND

The Mika Hornyak Artist Support Fund is inspired by one of her great enthusiasms, the support of local and regional artists. Uses of the funds include prizes for juried exhibits; stipends for our artists’ residency; and honoraria for artists who support the BAC by contributing their work and time.
Your support provides paid opportunities for artists to develop their work further and contribute to the cultural vitality of our community.

Contributions to the Brookline Arts Center are 100% tax deductible.
